Series of "Surreal Ground"
Installation of Photographs, fishing line, clips
2025
This installation interrogates the paradoxical relationship between "poor images"* and the material legacy of alternative photographic processes. Through blurred impressions, chemically eroded emulsions, solarized prints that reject legibility, and compositions that embrace ambiguity, I challenge the historical presumption that analog techniques inherently demand precision, permanence, or narrative clarity.
*"Poor images" (borrowing Hito Steyerl’s term) here refer to images compromised by glitches, low resolution, or material decay.
